Irish Stats first began as “Irish Election Stats” in April 2015 to provide a source of statistics and analysis related to elections in Ireland. It was inspired by international election analysis sites such as FiveThirtyEight in the United States and Electoral Calculus in the United Kingdom.

Since November 2016 the site serves as a source of statistics for all things Ireland.

  1. Hi David,

I’ve started mapping the political landscape with one hexagon per TD allowing you to show all the results on one map. Here is the blog: I’d love to use your stats on a per-constituency basis to produce a poll. Would you be interested?
